Robert (Bob) Morton Williams, 86, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN.
Robert is survived by his sister; Lilly May (Lou) Sewell of Westville, IN, sister in law, Fanny Williams, his 3 children; Robert L. (Kathi) Williams of Chesterton, IN, Tinna Williams Abrell of West Terre Haute, Don (Karen) Williams of Hanover, PA, and his Grandchildren; Robert L. Jr. (Cynthia) Williams of Chesterton, IN, Sherri Johnson of Chesterton, IN, Douglas (Jamie) Williams of Lafayette, IN, Shannon (Artie) Sauer of Terre Haute, Brandi Abrell of West Terre Haute, Taylor Williams of Hanover, PA, Kisandra Williams of West Terre Haute, Nicholas Williams of West Terre Haute and Dylan Price of Terre Haute and his son in law Pete Christeson and his 12 great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Josephine Williams, his brothers; Charles and Jim Williams, his sister, Katherine May, two daughters; Barbara Williams and Teresa (Terri) Christeson.
Bob was born on December 28, 1928 in Oakland City, IN to parents Clarence and Josephine Williams. Bob is a veteran of the United States Army where he served 1 year in 1947 until he came down with Rheumatic Fever and was Honorably Discharged. Bob then joined the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 841 and worked for various companies in Terre Haute including Dennis Trucking Co. operating cranes and heavy equipment until his retirement from Misco Enterprises. He is a 67 year member of Local 841.
Bob loved fishing and would travel with his boat and camper to Florida each winter for the last 20 years where he would spend each day fishing on Lake Okeechobee, playing bingo and eating crab legs in the evenings.
