Robert E. Walton, 77, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Loyola University Medical Center.
Robert was born on January 18, 1937 at Milltown, Indiana, he was a son of Albert and Emma Walton. He married Sue Saddler at the Milltown Methodist Church on August 16, 1958. Bob retired in 2007 after a long career in the auto industry. Early in life he was a barber and State Farm Insurance agent and was involved in many civic organizations.
He moved to Illinois in 1974. Survivors are his wife, Sue, daughters Robin Malpass of Chicago, Roxanne Malley, of Batavia, and sons, Dr. Robert E. Walton II, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Scott Walton, of Chicago, six grandchildren and one on the way. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and attended Ottawa First Church.
