Robert Walter “Bob” Burris
Bob was the son of the late D.H. Burris and Pauline Venus (Terry) Burris, he was born on March 11, 1941 in Elmore City, Oklahoma and passed away on December 5, 2021 in the local hospital.
He and Deeann Dunn were married November 13, 1987 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2020.
A resident of Ardmore all of his life, Bob attended the Ardmore schools. In his early years Bob had worked at the Cooper Dairy. Served his county in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge. Bob had worked as a computer programmer at the U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot at McAlester, Oklahoma. He loved his family and especially his time with the grandkids but his pride and joy was his dog, Sadie. Bob was of the Baptist Faith and was proud of his Chickasaw Heritage.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri Linn McMillan; son, Robert Walter Burris, Jr.; step sons, Tony Jones and wife Cheryl and Roy Jones and wife LaTawyna; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and other extended family. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, step granddaughter, Kelly Nicole Jones and granddaughter, Maddison Berisford.
