Robert W. Yaeger, age 77, of Plymouth, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at the Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, after being stricken suddenly. He was the husband of Diane (Scannell) Yaeger and the son of the late William C. and Wilda Mae (Kingsland) Yaeger. Born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio, survived by his step mother, Barbara Yaeger of Ohio, Sons, John & wife Christina of Marshfield, Robert of Califonia, brother, Thomas & wife Lois, Sisters Cindy Yaeger of Ohio & Barbara Cayon of California & furry long time buddy, Toby. Robert was a graduate of Northeastern University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in English. He started his career as a copy boy at the Boston Globe and retired as systems editor. He devoted much of his life to mentoring & teaching cadets at the Pilgrim Civil Air Patrol Squadron. He also facilitated an introduction to aerospace education through Cranland Fly-Ins, Wing Busters, the Aeroclub, Young Eagles & rocketry with the Summer Boys and Girls Club.
