Robert W. (Rob) Green
Rob Green of Dahlonega passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at his home after a 13-month long battle with stomach cancer. He is no longer suffering and is now with his Lord, Jesus Christ in heaven.
Born in Raleigh, NC in 1980, Rob’s family moved to Holly Springs, Georgia when he was three. In 1990 he and his family relocated to Dahlonega where his grandfather was Pastor of Dahlonega Baptist. Rob made his profession of faithat DBC in 1991. After graduating from Mountain Education Center, Rob attended North Georgia Technical College in Clarksville.
Rob loved getting together with friends and was well known for his humor. He was a true friend to many, once saving the life of a young woman by his quick action. Rob excelled at poker and other card games and won one poker alone, he enjoyed video games and reading western, mystery and fantasy books. Rob played on baseball, softballand basketball teams. He was excellent at bowling and horseshoes. Rob loved pets of all kinds.
Rob Green is survived by parents, Eddie and Denise Green of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law Andy and Ju Yun Green of Cumming; and brother and sister-in-law Jon and Rosemary Green of Ambato, Ecuador as well as one niece, Jenny Green of Cumming. He is survived by uncles and aunts, David Green, Mark & Cindy Green, Larry & Carol Seitz, Cliff Jaquess, Bas and Shauna Oskam and Steve Jaquess. Rob is also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives.
Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents Bob and Anne Green of Dahlonega and Bill and Norma Jaquess of Irving, TX.
