Robert W. Gordon, 81, of Bethlehem, went home to his Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. He was the son of the late Willian and Helen (Barlow) Gordon. Robert was a 1948 graduate of Liberty High School and a graduate of Moravian College. He retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was a volunteer at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Muhlenberg for 19 years and was an active member of Advent Moravian Church. Robert enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his great-grandson. He and his wife Joan (Steigerwalt) celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in November 2011. Survivors: he is survived by his wife, Joan and five children, Diane wife of John Chladni of Bethlehem; Eric and his wife Debbie of Bethlehem; Scot and his wife Anne of Bath; Christine Hitzel of Catasauqua and Craig Steigerwalt and his wife Sue of Bath. Eleven grandchildren, a great-grandson and his dog, Shadow.
