Robert W. “Bob” Davies, 81, of Hanover Township, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, June 8, 2017. He was the loving husband of Doris (Conrad) Davies, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage.
Born in Mt. Carmel, Bob was the son of the late Charles and Lucia (Noll) Davies. He earned his degree in Business from Gettysburg College, and began working for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. His career as a purchasing agent concluded when he retired after over 30 years of service. Bob was active in several organizations, serving on the Board of Directors of the Childrens Home in Easton, as a member, trustee and usher at the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, and in association with Phi Gamma Delta for over 40 years. He was a member of Saucon Valley Country Club, and of the brotherhood of Free and Accepted Masons in Bethlehem. He greatly enjoyed playing golf, being a private pilot, and working around his house.
Survivors: loving wife Doris; daughters Karen O’Neill of Palmer Township, Jodi Schnalzer of Bethlehem; brothers Charles Davies and his wife Susan of Ohio, John Davies and his wife Leanne of Boiling Springs; granddaughters Lindsay, Molly, Kaitlin, and Marissa; great-granddaughter Aleeyah.
