Robert Vasquez, 60, of Belton passed away on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 at his home in Belton.
Robert was born in Belton, Texas to Frank Vasquez and Rosa (Rendon) Vasquez on September 19, 1959. He grew up with a large family of three brothers and three sisters. Mr. Vasquez was a graduate of Belton High School, class of 1979 and attended technical college for his trade.
Robert was a dedicated person whether it came to his work or his family, always lending an extra hand as he wouldn’t have it any other way. Many times, he put others before his own needs as that’s the loyal man he was. He was well known for his skilled trade in mechanic repair. Robert was a devoted husband, parent, brother, and friend. He was also a devout Catholic and despite his illness never lost his faith and hope in this defeat. When diagnosed with this illness, he remained committed to his work and battle against his illness. He remained a purposeful family man and friend to all he came across. If you had the pleasure of meeting Robert, you knew he was the most avid Dallas Cowboy fanatic out there and dare you speak when a game was on. He enjoyed family time and gave the best advice no matter how tough the situation was. He was a true uplifting soul that only wanted the best for his family and friends.
Robert will be remembered as a hero for most and for the love and giving kind soul he was.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Frank Vasquez, mother Rosa Vasquez, and sister Maria Elena Vasquez.
Survivors are his children Jeremy Vasquez, Christopher Vasquez of Belton and daughter Marissa Vasquez of Austin and one granddaughter. Also surviving are brothers Frank Vasquez, Daniel Vasquez, and Johnny Vasquez, and sisters Amelia Torres and Gracie Vasquez, as well as Belia Hernandez, mother of their children, and his loving girlfriend Herlinda Ortiz.
