Robert Thomas Whitcomb, 76, of Southington, husband of Kathie (Eilert) Whitcomb, passed away on Sunday, February 9th at Ledgecrest Health Care Center in Kensington. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Gordon and Eleanor (Johnson) Whitcomb. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War serving in the US Army for twelve years. He was employed by Northeast Utilities for thirty-one years retiring in 1997. Along with his wife, Bob is survived by two daughters, Kristen M. Whitcomb Murphy and her husband, Benjamin and Karen P. Whitcomb, all of Berlin; a stepson, Allan Scozzari and his wife, Heather of Middletown; a stepdaughter, Wendy Ann Humes and her husband, Anthony of TN; his sister, Nancy Whitcomb Baxter of Newark, DE; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
