Robert T. Daly, a lifelong Newton resident, died on Sat May 22, 2010 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 72.
Bob graduated from Newton High School and served in the US Navy. He worked for more than 42 years for the Newton School Department retiring as the Director of Facilities. He was a member for 48 years of the Newton Lodge of Elks and a Life Member and PER of the lodge. Bob was also an avid golfer and bowler.
Bob was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Fitzgibbons) Daly, and the loving father of Robert J. Daly Sr. and his wife Noelle of Waltham, John M. Daly and his wife Julie, Kathleen A. Hylander and her husband Stephen, John Elliott all of Newton and James Elliott and his wife Sonya of Ludlow, the grandfather of Maureen, John, Patrick, Mackenzie, Robert J. Jr., John III, Elizabeth, Evan, James Jr. and Fiona, and the brother of Claire Yeradi of West Newton, Richard Daly of FL and the late James Daly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
