Robert Anthony “Tony” Stackpole, aged 78, a resident of New Orleans, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2015, after a brief period of hospice care. “Tony,” as he was known to friends and family, was born in New York City to the late Robert E. and Maria Louisa Mauri Stackpole on November 24, 1936. After moving to New Orleans with his family when he was four, Tony attended St. Dominic School, graduated from Jesuit High School in 1954, received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1959, and his MBA from Loyola University in New Orleans. A devoted husband, father, and family man, Tony is preceded in eternal life by his beloved wife, Michael Ann McKay Stackpole. He is survived by his five sons, whose success in life was his greatest joy, Robert Emmett (Merideth), Michael Mitchell (Meredith), Kelly McKay (Lori), Cullen Sullivan (Katie), and Kyle Scully. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Stackpole Flynn; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. In addition, he will be sorely missed by the congregants of St.
