Robert grew up in Stuart and Des Moines, Iowa. Attended Tech High School in Des Moines and graduated while in the United States Marine Corp.
Robert worked for the Federal Railroad Administration until June of 1996 when he retired.
Preceding Robert in death were his parents and wife Margaret. Left to cherish his memories are son Jon (Kyla) Simcoke, granddaughters Alexandra and Jessica Simcoke of Wentzville, MO. Son Robert (Carolyn) Simcoke Jr., grandsons Robert 3rd and Brian Simcoke of St. Charles, MO. Son Tim Borchert of Winfield, MO.
