Strong, Robert B. “Shortie” of Grand Junction, Michigan. Passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at Kairos Dwelling. Age 85 years. Robert was born on November 28, 1926, the son of the late George A. and Anna Kemple Strong. He worked for Parker-Hannifin, retiring after 35 years of service.
He was a member of Bloomingdale Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, dancing, traveling, playing cards, fishing, hunting and gardening. Robert was married to Patricia Skelton Strong on March 1, 1952; she survives him.
Also surviving are two sons and two daughters, Russell Gwen Strong of Vicksburg, Sharon Bradley of Oshtemo, Margaret Oria Bagley of Portage and Douglas Penny Strong of Portage; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and two special friends, Duane and Melissa Dalrymple. Robert was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; two brothers and six sisters.
