Robert W. “Cousin Bob” Sendenburgh, 81, of 716 3rd Avenue South, Escanaba, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2017 at home of an apparent heart attack.

 

Bob was born April 20, 1935 in Manistique, MI the son of Alphonse and Mary (McDonough) Sendenburgh.  He was raised in Escanaba where he was a 1953 graduate of St. Joseph High School.  Bob served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.  He continued his service to his country in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1964.

 

Bob worked for AT&T in Detroit for 30 years, retiring in 1985 and he returned to Escanaba in 1988.  Bob was a member of the St. Joseph/St. Patrick Catholic Church.  His hobbies included sailing, reading, music and attending plays.  He was a familiar face at the Escanaba Yacht Harbor.

 

Survivors include his aunt, Geraldine McDonough of Chicago and many cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles and his parents.
