Robert Ray Smith Jr., 41, of Anderson, passed away on April 29, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1971 in Fort Thomas, Kentucky and resided most of his life in Anderson.
He was self employed scrapping salvage. He loved football, baseball, basketball, working on cars, scrapping, and his family. Robert is survived by his mother, Margo A. Hudson of Anderson, siblings, Jody Baston of Newport, KY, Tammy Avery of Anderson, Angela Chuck Gearhart of Anderson, Jason Megan Smith of Anderson, Nicole Smith of Anderson, Cheryl Justin Staples of Anderson, Billy Joe Brittany Smith of Anderson. Uncle Scott Allen Baston, and Randy Baston grandmother, Jeanne Baston, special aunt, Donna Smith, aunt Colleen Dean, nephews, Christopher Simpson, Donald Simpson, Darryl Simpson, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special four legged friend, Reese. Special friends Harold and Linda Burgess, and Donnie Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ray Smith Sr., step-father, Bill Joe Hudson, sister, Theresa Ann Simpson, grandfather, Albert Baston, uncles, Jeff Baston and John Dean, niece, Christy Robinson, cousins, Randy Baston, Jr., Darren Smith, and several aunts and uncles. The family wishes to thank Community Hospice nurses, especially Pam and Chaplain Rob Mifflin.
