Robert R. Pollock was born on January 9, 1926 in Plains, Pennsylvania and passed away at his Cocoa Beach, Florida home on January 3, 2021.

At the age of 18, Bob enlisted, and was accepted, in the United States Air Force Aviation Cadet Training Program. World War II ended shortly thereafter as did his hope of becoming an Air Force pilot.

In 1983, Creole’s concessions matured so Bob served on the transition team that delivered the company’s assets to the Venezuelan government’s newly established oil company, Lagoven.  Upon completion of this transition, he was transferred to Colombia to begin a new exploration initiative in Barranquilla and Bogota.

It was in Venezuela where Bob met and married Mary Ann Jennings, a teacher at the company school. All six children, Elizabeth, Robert, Jane, Sandra, James, and John were born in Venezuela.

Bob retired in 1985, and he and Mary Ann found Cocoa Beach to be an ideal place to begin the next chapter of their lives in the United States.

Bob is survived by his wife of more than 65 years, Mary Ann Pollock, his six children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
