Robert “Tom” Roger Mix, 86 of Fort Walton Beach FL passed away peacefully Monday evening at home with family by his side after years battling cancer. Born in Duluth Minnesota, Tom grew up and joined the United States Air Force where he worked as a flight engineer for most of his career. He was honored to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal, just to name a couple of his awards.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Judith “Judy” Irene Ramsey Mix; Parents, George Mix and Iva Pearl Gatliff Mix; brothers, Jack Mix, Dale and Wayne Wallace; and his stepson, Paul D. Henderson. Survivors include his son, Thomas D. Mix, (his mother Renata Rzeczycki Mix); step daughters Sharon LaPine and her husband Jim, and J’Ann Whitley; stepson, John G. Henderson; grandsons, Jonathan A. Becquer and Paul Daniel Henderson, and their mother, Brandi Becquer; along with many dear friends.
