Robert R. Davis, 86, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Robert was born October 7, 1935 in Bon Air, Tennessee to the late Thomas and Dora (Phillips) Davis.
Robert was happily married to his beloved wife, Flossie Mae (Janes) Davis, for 34 years until she passed away in March of 2020.
Robert worked in the automotive scrap industry for over 50 years until his retirement in 2003. He had a true relationship with Jesus Christ and was a member of Christ Gospel Church Indianapolis. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He will be remembered for his love of playing the guitar and going fishing.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert (Katherine), James, and Raymond (Beth Ann); grandchildren, Christina, Ashley, Mindy, Nikki, Patricia, Gabriel, Noah, and Jami Rae Jean; brothers, Roger and Kenneth; sister, Margie. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie; his parents, Thomas and Dora; brothers, Donald, William, Andrew, James, Terry, and Wayne; sisters, Linda, Mary, and Jennie. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angel.
