Robert Franklin Pollitt, 72, of Lakeside, Michigan passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Bob was born June 9, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana to Lloyd and Hazel (Morningstar) Pollitt. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. On March 26, 1953 Bob married Phyllis Gropp at the New Buffalo United Methodist Church.

He was employed as a mechanic and shop foreman at Reith-Riley Construction Company in Springville, Indiana before his retirement. Bob enjoyed time spent fishing, hunting and cooking his favorite dishes. Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis Pollitt; daughters, Kathleen (Doug) Steinborn of New Buffalo, Michigan, Rebecca (John) Hartley of Harbert, Michigan, Roberta Pollitt of Eau Claire, Michigan and Karen (Seth) Palenske of New Buffalo; grandchildren, Rob Smith; Bryce and Autumn Hartley; Brittney and Jasmine Palenske; and his brothers, Gerald (JoAnn) Pollitt of Buchanan, Michigan and Richard (Jan) Pollitt of Crystal Falls, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
