Until the dance becomes your very own

No matter how close to yours

Another’s steps have grown

In the end, there’s one dance you’ll do alone

-Jackson Browne

Bob was born in St. Anthony, Idaho on October 6, 1948 to Elva B. and Paul D.

Bob was a lover of the Teton and Sawtooth mountains and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing and camping. He loved cycling with friends in Twin Falls and rode the ‘Tour de Farce’ to Sun Valley. Music was a very big influence in his life. Bob was a very talented singer/songwriter and really had a way with words. He was an artist, and his guitar was his paintbrush. He was also an avid reader. Bob got to do a lot of traveling in his final years. His adventures took him to Europe and Africa. His family was everything to him, and he was so very proud of his kids and grandkids.

Bob was a people person. He was very kind, generous and charitable. He was very involved as president of United Way and various other charities including Toys for Tots. He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. He was an excellent boss (though you didn’t want to make him mad) and genuinely loved those he worked with. In his directive, he stated that he wanted to be remembered as a “nice guy.” He was that and so much more.

The family is receiving comfort knowing he’s “sitting on a rainbow” with his childhood imaginary friend Spucks Gitcher and now has the answers to life’s questions.

All in all I’m happy with the race that I have run

Win or lose it had to be, it’s truly been my own

All I ask of livin’ is perfection now and then

All I want from dyin’… just come quickly at the end
