Robert P. Land, 94, formerly of Anderson, passed away on September 8, 2012 at the Heritage Park Nursing Home.
He was born on December 22, 1917 in New Castle and resided in Fort Wayne since 2003. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, where he was involved with the Baptist Men’s Fellowship, Fellowship Masonic Lodge #681, Broadway Chapter Order of Eastern Star #591 and UAW #662.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, receiving the Good Conduct Medal. Robert is survived by his daughter, Nancy Louisa John Brown of Fort Wayne IN; granddaughters, Laura Ann Brown and Barbara Ann Brown; great-grandson, Nicholas Orth; and great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Orth.
He was preceded in death by wife, Bernice Land; father, Paul Land; and mother, Sharlie Land.
