Robert P. Herd, 84 of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Westmoreland Manor.
He was born February 16, 1929 in Greensburg, PA, son of the late Thorton and Estelle (Smail) Herd.
Robert was a member of St. Bruno Church in South Greensburg. He volunteered at Meals on Wheels and also with RSVP (Retireed & Senior Volunteer Program) at Westmoreland County Community College. Robert served in the air force during the Korean War.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers,Wayne, Jack, and Ernie Herd.
Surviving are his wife, Rita (Zruno) Herd, daughter, Joyce E. Adamcyk and husband, Michael, grandchildren, Alex M. Adamcyk and Nicole A. Adamcyk, brother, Dr. Richard Herd, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert’s family would like to thank the employees in Section C-2 of Westmoreland Manor for their compassion, support, and care.
