Robert “Ole” Gene Carlson, Sr., age 58, of Cass Lake, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world on Monday, April 20th, 2020 from his home. He was born in Cass Lake, MN on October 19, 1961 to Pearl (Klucky) and William “Bill” Carlson.
Ole’s work and passion was logging and when he wasn’t doing that he could be found watching the Minnesota Vikings, gardening, watching the wild life, road hunting and sitting around a bonfire, surrounded by his family and friends. Ole loved spending time with his grandchildren as often as he could. Ole married Kathy Hanson in 1996 and they spent the next 25 years raising and loving their three children. In 2007 Robert married Drenda Evans.
Family that Ole is reunited with are his parents, Pearl and Bill Carlson; daughter, Sherri Carlson and his brothers, Jimmy, Dave and William Carlson.
He is survived by his wife, Drenda Carlson; his son, Robert (Christy) of Jamestown, ND, step-children, Anson (Andrea) Beaulieu of Bemidji and Dawn (Donahue) Beaulieu of Cass Lake; Larissa and Jared Evans; sisters, Barb and Helen Carlson and Connie Burnette; brother, Donald Carlson; mother of his children, Kathy Hanson, 12 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
