Bob McMickle, 84, of Arnolds Park, passed away from a brief illness on March 3, 2017 while vacationing in Arizona. He was born January 17, 1933 in Los Angeles California to Robert and Anne McMickle. He grew up in southern California and served in the Marines during the Korean War. In 1953 he was united in marriage to Juanita Madison. They were married 36 years and had 5 children. In 1993 he married Beverly Lidman and they were married 16 years. He was an avid outdoors man and in 1976 moved to Spirit Lake to fulfill a passion for designing fishing equipment for Berkeley Fishing products. He retired from there in 1992. He loved restoring old cars and enjoyed taking his 1927 model T to car shows. He enjoyed family time and loved to hear about his many grand-kids. He is survived by his 5 children, Marie (Tom) Doe of Purcellville,VA, Mary Ann (Ron) Kliegl of Trout Valley,IL, Valerie (Mark) Welch of Gilbert,AZ, Roger McMickle of Chicago,IL, and Gary McMickle of Warrenton,VA, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, his sister, Nancy McMickle and long time companion, Suzanne Milton. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita in 1989, his second wife, Beverley in 2011 and grandson, Nicholas in 1984.
