Mr. Robert M. Wilbanks, Sr., 84, of Lanett, AL passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the LaFayette Nursing Home in LaFayette, AL.
Survivors include his sons, Murry (Pam) Wilbanks and Tim (Debbie) Wilbanks; grandchildren, Brian Wilbanks, Adam Wilbanks, Tanner (Jamie) Wilbanks, & Abbie (Josh) Brock Wilbanks; great-grandchildren, Tucker Wilbanks, Logan Brock, and Greyson Brock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Martin Wilbanks, his parents, Ocie and Ethel Wilbanks and his brothers, Edward and Lamar Wilbanks.
Mr. Wilbanks was a lifelong resident of Lanett and a retired employee of West Point Pepperell. He was a graduate of Auburn University, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Lanett Church of Christ.
