Robert M. “Bob” Bernardoni, 61, of 365 N. 2575th Rd. Oglesby passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on Monday March 30, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle.
Bob was born in LaSalle on May 19, 1953 to Aldo and Annie (Focchi) Bernardoni. He was raised in Tonica. He married Arlene Henak the love of his life on October 19, 1990. They spent 35 years sharing a fun filled adventurous roller coaster ride. He worked at Sunstrand, owned and operated Bernardoni’s Shelling, and drove a truck for 20 plus years.
Bob is survived by his wife Arlene; six daughters Dawn Farneti of Peru, Lori Henak of Jackson, MI, Gina (Bill) Recchia of Geneva, Nicole (Curt) Freeze of Crystal Lake, Monica (Bernardoni) Ryan of Wenona, and Jeri (Rich) Loiselle of Harvard; one son Jay Bernardoni of Durham, NC; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; five sisters Dolly (Rod) Knoublach of Oglesby, Theresa (John) Zielinski of Oglesby, Rosemary (Ron) Volpe of LaSalle, Darlene (Warren) Jacobs of Litchfield, Darlene Bernardoni of Tonica; two brothers Jim (DeeDee) Bernardoni of Buffalo, NY and Joe (Nancy) Bernardoni of Utica; mother of his children Linda Littlebrant of Kenndleville. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Denise Bernardoni; four brothers Donald, Jack, Bill, Donnely Bernardoni; his dog Jack.
