Robert Lindsay 92, passed away peacefully at home with
his wife of 67 years by his side, on Monday, September 5,
2011. He was born January 27, 1919 to George Lindsay
and Mable Devoe Lindsay in Hazard, Kentucky. He
served in the United States Army during WWII in the
740th Railroad Batalion. He worked as a Coal Miner,
for the Milwaukee Railroad, and the United States Postal

the VFW Post #6653, American Legion #140, and Scottish
Rite Vally of Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters,
three brothers, and a daughter in-law; Michele Lindsay.
He is survived by his wife; Anna Jane Ritter Lindsay of
Clinton. A daughter; Deleise Lindsay of Atlanta, GA. A
son; Blake Lindsay of Atlanta, GA. Four grandchildren;
Shaun Allen, Vincent & (Kylie) Allen, Justin Lindsay,
Danielle Lindsay, and Kylie Allen. Two great-
granddaughtrers; Parker Allen, and Taylor Lewis. Also
several nieces and nephews.
