Mr. Robert L Spencer began his life’s journey on April 21, 1945, in Macon, Georgia. He was the third child of seven born to the late Mr. Isaiah Spencer and Mrs. Marie Williams Spencer. Robert or “Bob”, as he was fondly referred to, was preceded in death by both parents. Bob met the love of his life, Shirley Siler, while the both of them were working in the same city. Shirley and Bob were both employed at the Veterans Hospital in Montrose, New York. After meeting and dating, they decided to get married in Chapel at the Veterans Hospital. From this union, three children were born; Remonica Green (Glen), of Siler City, N.C.; Tamika S. Collins, of Asheboro, N.C.; and an older daughter, Marilyn Davis (Tony) of Brandywine, Maryland.
Bob leaves to cherish precious memories a loving wife, Mrs. Shirley Spencer, three children, Remonica Green (Glen), of Siler City, N.C.; Tamika S. Collins, Asheboro, N.C.; and an older daughter, Marilyn Davis (Tony) of Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters, Dorothy Spencer Plowden (George), of Dublin, Georgia; Daphney Spencer Bell (Donald) of Dublin, Georgia; four brothers who preceded Bob in death; Nathalie Harris, Odell Harris, Roy Spencer, and Richard Spencer; all of Dublin, Georgia. Additionally, Bob has four grandchildren; Robert L.Spencer, Tatiana Evelyn Jean Spencer, both of Asheboro, N.C.; Antonio Davis and Ashlii Davis, both of Brandywine, Maryland.
He also leaves to mourn his loss sister-in-laws, Patricia Newkirk (Charles), of Ramseur, N.C.; Emma Cheek, (Waddell) deceased, of Ramseur, N.C.; Linda Price, (Jimmy); of Franklinville, N.C.; Loretta Council (James); of Durham, N.C.; William Siler, Jr., of the home; Jerry Siler (Natalie), of Osning, New, York; Sherman (Mink) Siler; Siler City, N.C.; Randy Siler, (Tracey), of Hampton, Virginia; Kenneth Siler, (Jenny); of the Phillippines. He was preceded in death by Yvette Reives (Gary); Angel Little, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
