He was born on May 6, 1960, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Robert Leroy Sr. and Mary Lucille Netz McKinsey.
He was a 1978 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Robert was previously employed by F.O. Day Paving Co. in Rockville, MD as a Diesel Mechanic and Garden State Tannery in Williamsport, MD.
He was a member of Valley Assembly of God in Hagerstown, MD.
Robert was involved in Challenger Bowling and Baseball Leagues for his son Robbie.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Jean McKinsey whom he married on May 25, 1985; sons Matthew Robert McKinsey, Robert Matthew McKinsey (Robbie), and Robert Leroy “Bobby” McKinsey, III; mother-in-law Betty Jane Mathis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cindy and Andy Taylor, Sr.; 4 half-sisters; 1 half-brother.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a stepsister, half-brother, and father-in-law Frank J. Mathis.
