Mr. Robert Leon Lee (known to many as Bobby Chasez), 71, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, from complications of pancreatic cancer. Robert was born in Lake Shore Hospital in Lake City, FL on October 14, 1943. He was raised in North Florida by his maternal grandparents, Laborn and Mimmie Lee, and was a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 1962. Robert served in the Florida National Guard for several years after high school. Most of his work years were spent at the Florida Department of Transportation, from which he retired in 2002. He spent his retirement years happily living in the dream home he built in the southern Columbia County countryside.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judith K. (McCarty) Lee, his five children, Robert, Jr., Joseph, Michael, James, and Amy, and their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
