Robert Lee Wells Jr. 63 of 2138 Lockwood Drive died Thursday November 25, 2021, at Monroe Health Center in Charlottesville, VA.
Robert was born April 23, 1958 in Queens, NY to the late Robert Lee Wells Sr. and Marie Wells. He attended Long Island City High School and was baptized at Rush Temple A.M.E. Zion Church. Robert spent majority of his life in Queens and was very proud of his hometown. Robert made his living in construction and maintenance and he loved sports including boxing, baseball, and basketball. In his later years he moved to Charlottesville, Virginia with his daughter, where he lived until his passing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends in South Jamaica, Queens, NY.
Robert is preceded in death by his son Kaleef Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Rosemarie Wells of Virginia and April Wells of North Carolina; sisters: Terri Wells of New York and Charlotte Wells-Knight of New York; brother: James Richard Wells of New York; 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
