Robert Lee Stanovsky passed away on August 19, 2019 at the age of 87. Robert was born in Galveston, Texas on September 27, 1931. He graduated from Ball High School and enter the US Marine Corp. Robert served in the Korean War and was one the frozen chosen – a War Hero. After the war, he attended North Texas University majoring in pre-law. He met his wife Ruth Shauberger from Texas City, Texas and they lived in Denton, Texas before moving to Dallas. Robert worked as a floral designer and window decorator for A-Harris & Company. Robert and his sister then opened “The Canopy Shop” in downtown Dallas, an artificial floral and tree business. Robert was in antique restoration for 30 years and also had, “Stanovskys” home and garden sculptures for 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Shauberger Stanovsky; children, Rahn Lee Stanovsky and his wife Barbara, Shawn Robert Stanovsky, and Jenan Stanovsky Hamill and her husband, Keith; grandchildren Jeremy Vincent Stanovsky and Whitney Taylor, Jamie Stanovsky Anderson and her husband P.J., Hannah Stanovsky and fiancé Brant Kuppe, James Robert Powell, Ashlee Elizabeth Sirmon and Shawna Ruth Joyce and her husband, Justin; great -grandchildren Londyn Avery Stanovsky, Trinity Leigh Cross, Faith Harper Anderson, Holden Kuppe, Adelyn Kuppe, Israel junior Ponce, Ruth Elizabeth Ponce, Robert Wayne Ortiz and Ruby Ruth Joyce. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Hedvika Stanovsky; sister, Frances Stanovsky Holt and Brother, Joseph Stanovsky. Robert “Loved Greatly” and was “Greatly Loved.”
