Robert Lee Schuessler passed away on Tuesday August 3, 2022, after a brief, but aggressive battle with cancer.

Robert was born in February 1959 in Ogden Utah.  His family moved to Layton Utah in 1968. He graduated from Layton High School, class of 1977.

Robert built a long career in the aerospace industry first working for Hercules in fabrication, then with Parker Hannafin as a machinist.

Robert was known for his love of rock music and was always playing his guitar. He enjoyed stock car racing, and loved his Gold Wing! He was an avid cyclist and found freedom in riding his bikes and hang gliding over the SLC valley. He was a story teller, a jokester, and the joy he brought us will never be forgotten.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Heinz and Joan Schuessler.  He is survived by his children, Chad Schuessler (Wendy) England, and Aimee Davis (Jeremy) TX; sister, Tanya Woodfall UT; brother, Shane Schuessler UT; grandchildren, Daysie Kastler, Vivienne Schuessler and Henry Schuessler; nephew, Logan Woodfall and nieces, Autumn Woodfall and Jessica Lomax.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Maple Ridge Rehab and Nursing for their care and compassion. As well, a special thanks to our friends and family for their support at this difficult time.
