Robert Lee Rachow of Hebron, NE the son of Samuel and Etta (Hinrichs) Rachow was born January 17, 1931 on a farm near Carleton, NE. He departed this life Thursday January 14, 2010 at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, NE at the age of 78 years.
Bob grew up in the Carleton area, attending school and graduating from Carleton High with the class of 1949. He married Blanche Otten October 3, 1953 at Bethel Church in Carleton, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of three children.
In 1953 Bob worked in Geneva, NE for OK Tire. In 1957 they moved to Hebron, NE where he owned and managed the OK Tire Store from 1957 to 1966 and also the Conoco Gas Station. Bob also worked for Ells Implement, Blue Valley Foods, Reinke Manufacturing, T.V. Transmitter for Chanel Four, and Central Market.
