Robert Lee Gathmann, 82, of Destin, FL passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.
Bob was born June 24, 1924 in Catonsville, MD the son of Naomi and Mark Gathmann. He was a graduate of Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA and attended Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH. He served in the Marine Corp.
Bob became a metallurgical engineer and was General Sales Manager of the Midwest for Air Products Co. He subsequently formed his own engineering firm.
He was a Lutheran by faith and with his beautiful tenor voice was a choir member and soloist. His faith in Christ walked with him through every season.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Gathmann; six children, Diane (Danny) Ludington, Carol (Tom) Morrison, Victoria (Tom) Hart, Bob (Lori) Gathmann, Cindy Gathmann and Renee? (David) Norman; ten grandchildren; five step grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Isabel Worthington and Gloria Heron.
