Mr. Robert Lee “Bobby” Coble, 79, of Haw River passed away at his residence on Friday, January 20, 2017.

A native of Randolph County, he was the husband of his beloved wife, the late Sandra L. Coble and was the son of W. W. Coble and Mami Bowman Coble, both deceased. Bobby retired from Cone Mills with over 25 years of service and was co-owner of Willow Tree Muffler Center for 17 years. Besides his greatest love, Sandra and his family, Bobby enjoyed local dirt, track racing and NASCAR racing. He loved and collected trains and enjoyed showing the great grandchildren his tracks. He was a member of Haw River Christian Church. Bobby will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a pillar of the Haw River Community.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Edwards and wife, Jayme of Haw River; two granddaughters, Carrie Edwards Bennett and husband, Jason of Graham and Jessica Lee Edwards and Ovidio of Haw River; Seven great grandchildren, Austin, Avery, Lilly, Evan, Will, Nolan and Elly; and his beloved pet, “Sassy”.

Mr. Coble was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Lee Coble Carver; three sisters, Circie “Red” Stewart, Mary Lee Hogan and Betty Martin; and three brothers, John Coble, Pat Coble and A. J. Coble.
