Robert L. “Bob” Zuber, of Williamsport, passed away at UPMC Susquehanna-Williamsport, on Monday, April 30, 2018, surrounded by his family. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Katy M. (Garman) Zuber, whom he married Dec. 19, 1953.

Born Nov. 29, 1933, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Warren and Dorothy M. (Baker) Zuber.  

Bob attended Williamsport High School and enlisted into the U.S. Army, where he served in the 555th Field Artillery during the Korean War. He retired from Trimtex in 1999 as a supervisor and after retirement was an escort driver for High Steel, which he still currently enjoyed doing.
Bob was a member of Wings of Love Church.  He loved antique John Deere tractors.  Bob was an avid collector of railroad memorabilia, particularly S&NY Railroad. He collected Williamsport area post cards and enjoyed refinishing old furniture.

In addition to his wife, Katy, he is survived by a son-in-law, David J. Steinbacher, of Collomsville; five grandchildren: Aimee Hannan (Dan), Eric Steinbacher (Amelia Nason), Joslyn Dougherty (Matt), and Benjamin and Timothy Steinbacher; nine great-grandchildren, John and James Hannan, Kaelyn and Vivian Steinbacher, Kaitlyn, Noah and Gabriel Dougherty, Giovanni and Farrah Steinbacher;  two brothers, William Zuber, of Newtown and George Zuber, of Denton; and a sister, Sally Folmar, of Milford, N.J.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by daughter, Karen E. Steinbacher on Nov. 26, 2009; and a granddaughter, Molly Hannan.
