Robert Lee Wecker, 91, of Boise, Idaho passed away at the Idaho State Veteran’s Home on Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
He was born on December 20, 1926 in Blunt, South Dakota. He had one brother, Melvin Wecker.
Bob grew up in Huron, South Dakota. He enlisted in the Army May 9, 1944. He served with the Army Signal Corp and was stationed in Japan and Korea. He attended Dakota Bible College, where he met the love of his life, Dora Savey. They were married on June 29, 1947 and were married for 70 years.
He enjoyed his stained-glass hobby and has given many stained-glass gifts to family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his children: Roger (Daphne), their children Keith and Laura; Nola (John), her son Tim Riherd; Eldon (Nancy), their children Brent (Angie) and Andrea (Tyler) Couch; great grandchildren, Brodie and Haylee Wecker, along with many nieces and nephews.
