Robert L. Nordike, 76, of Cahokia, IL., born April 16, 1932 in Keyesport, IL., died Saturday January 31, 2009 at his residence. He was retired from American Steel in Granite City, IL.
He was a life member and past Post Commander of V.F.W. Post 1699 in Cahokia, IL. and a member of American Legion Post 784 of Cahokia, IL. He was a Korean War U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry & Amelia, nee Laux, Nordike; a brother, Edsel Nordike; a sister, Marie Steinman.
Surviving are his sons, Val (Tracy) Nordike of Columbia, IL. and Victor (Melissa) Nordike of Waterloo, IL.; a brother Marlin (Karen) Nordike of Bartelso, IL.; seven grandchildren. He was a dear uncle, cousin & friend.
