Robert L. Kern Sr., 78, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Robert was the husband of Mary Ann Kern (Horvath) who celebrated 58 years of marriage on Nov. 1st.
Born in Easton, he was the son to the late Raymond F. Kern and late Cula Annamae Kern (Fehr).
Robert graduated from Liberty High school in 1956. Robert served his country in the United States Navy. He went to work at Mack Trucks as a painter and welder. He was a member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his three sons; Robert L. Kern Jr., with wife Joanne, Glenn A. Kern, with wife Wendi, Gary W. Kern, five grandchildren; Stephanie Gower, Gregg Kern, Andrew Kern, Aaron Kern and Kelly Kern, four great grandchildren; Dakotah Horack, Skyelar Horack, Boston Gower, and Rylie Kern. He is also survived by a half-sister Geneva Kotze. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Nolan, who was always by his side.
Robert is preceded in death by several half-brothers and half-sisters.
