Robert L. Haughey, 88, Anderson, died July 3, 2006 at Keystone Woods, Anderson. He was born May 22, 1918 in Sheridan, Indiana, and was formerly a resident of Pendleton, moving to Anderson 12 years ago. Robert retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1976 after 35 years of service.

He was a graduate of Sheridan High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Pendleton American Legion, Pendleton Amvets and the Noblesville Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jane & husband Chris Ladas of Fishers and Jackie & husband Billy Sexton of Jasper, Georgia; a brother, Tad & wife Charlene Haughey of Sheridan; four sisters, Jeannie & husband John Shelburn of Lebanon, Wilma Newby of Sheridan, Pat Pauley of Sebastian, Florida and Pauline Davis of Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren, Jeff Fariss of Indianapolis, Kevin Ladas of Atlanta, Georgia, Desha Starr of Jasper, Georgia, Dora Ladas of Eugene, Oregan, Tyler Sexton and Trent Sexton both of Forsyth County, Georgia; five great grandchildren, Ashley Whaley, Matthew Crane, Megan Crane, Christian Ladas and Bobby Fariss; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mrs. Edna Sageser of Pendleton.

He was preceded by his wife, Mary A. Gunn Haughey who passed away in 1984; his parents, Laban & Hazel Purdy Haughey; one brother; and three sisters.
