Robert “Bob” L. Hartman, Jr., 72, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital.
Robert was born on October 26, 1947 in Elkhart, IN to Robert L. Hartman Sr. and Vivian (Freshour) Hartman. Robert is married to Scydell (Hess) Hartman on June 24, 1967 in Elkhart.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Karen and Linda.
Bob is survived by his wife, Scydell (Hess) Hartman; children, Teresa (Charles) Poth of Mishawaka, Becky (Rick) Summers, Tammy Hartman, David (Danielle Hartman and Megan L. Hartman-Henderson (Chris), all of Elkhart; a sister, Marcia Chupp of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Bob graduated from Elkhart High School. He was a woodworker retiring from Patrick Industries. Bob loved working with wood. He was also a bowler. Bob was an avid Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame and Detroit Lions fan. He enjoyed the fall and the outdoors. Fishing, boating, and camping were his passion.
