Robert L. Fuda, 80, of Danbury, husband of Jean (Carta) Fuda, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Danbury Hospital.

A Stamford native, Mr. Fuda was born on June 6, 1942, to the late Louis and Jean (Cantavero) Fuda. He attended Stamford schools and graduated from Stamford High School.

A resident of Danbury for the past fifty-four years coming from Stamford, Mr. Fuda was a retired train mechanic with Metro-North Railroad. He enjoyed carpentry. Woodworking and driftwood art were his specialties. He prided himself in building Lighthouses. NASCAR was total enjoyment as well as singing karaoke and the music of the Chairman of the Board-Mr. Frank Sinatra.

A part-time bartender, he enjoyed making people laugh with his dry sense of humor. A legend of his time, he was considered the life of a party and his friends acknowledged that he made the world a better place – leaving it much better than he found it.

In prior years, Mr. Fuda operated the “Hubba-Hubba” Diner of Greenwich.
