Robert L. “Bob” Duncan, 78 of Edwardsport, IN passed away at the Freelandville Community Home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Bob was born October 23, 1943, in Sullivan, IN the son of Oscar Duncan Jr and Helen M. Wehmier Fairhurst.
He was a pastor, evangelist, and carpenter. He graduated from North Knox High School, an AS degree from Vincennes University, and received a bachelor’s degree at Oakland City College. He was a pastor and was a member of the Newberry Christian Church in Newberry, IN, served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion. He held membership in the Masonic Lodge #429, where he was a Past Master. He married Beverly Kay Frederman on August 18, 1974, and they made their life together for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Kay Duncan, sons’, Keith Duncan, and his wife Andrea of Oaktown, IN, ( Jesse, Bryan, Joshua, Christian, and Katie) Stacey Duncan of Bicknell, IN(Cortney and Vincent), and Chris Duncan, and his wife Julie ( Allyssa, Chase, Jordon, and Storm) Three great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Billy in infancy, his parents, and a sister, Betty Miller.
