Robert K. Smith, 80, of Mantoloking, NJ, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 surrounded by his beloved wife, Barbara, and his two sons, Michael and Sean. Born in Newark, NJ, Robert was a longtime resident of the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ, then lived in Martinsville, NJ for 11 years before moving to Mantoloking in 2008. Robert was Owner and President of US Lubes in New Brunswick, NJ.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Robert was a member of the American Legion, Neptune, NJ, and the Metuchen Elks Lodge. He was predeceased by his mother and step father Lillian and Henry Woerner, his father Raymond P. Smith, his brother Raymond Smith and his sister Marilyn Smith. Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara (nee Chapman), his two sons Michael Smith of Annapolis, MD and Sean Smith of Brick, NJ. He is also survived by his lifelong friends from the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
