Legendary storyteller Robert Jung leaves us at 80 for grander pastures.
To the outside world Bob was a dealmaker; technically he was a mechanical engineer, putting together defense contracts for the government that supplied ballistic missiles, gyroscopes and simulators. To his family he was everything: loving husband, doting father, sailor, fisherman, camping guru. Nicknamed MacGyver for his ability to make Halloween costumes out of card stock, or free handing a map, Bobby was always there to figure it out.
Diagnosed in 2001 with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Bob ultimately succumbed to heart failure on Friday, August 19, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne; his children, Gina, Jennifer and Micah; his grandchildren, Christian, Gabriel, Noah and Jonah; his brothers Bill and Perry, and sister Mary.
He will be dearly remembered for his collections of stories, his infectious laugh, his sense of humor and love of camping. He created a beautiful life, and generously shared it. He is the gift that keeps giving.
