Stolle, 85, died on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Community Hospital, Anderson, after an extended illness.

Bob was born on January 22, 1921 in Richmond, Indiana to William and Mary Jeanette Melle Stolle. He was a decorated World War II Army Veteran, and served in both Italy and North Africa. Bob and his family moved to the Anderson/Madison County area in the early 1950’s, from Richmond, IN. During his long work history ,he was a volunteer firefighter for the Elwood Fire Dept., he worked for the Emge Packing Plant, Smith’s bicycle Shop, J.C. Sales, was the Manager of the restaurant and bar at the Alexandria Elks, a cook for the Mad. Co. Sheriff’s Dept./Jail under Sheriff Mark Thompson, he was also the manager of the J. C. Penney’s warehouse in Anderson. Bob was a Past President of the Alexandria Eagles, and a member of the Alexandria Elks and American Legion Post 127.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, who he married on May 2, 1942, Mary Ellen Klute Stolle. Three children, Midge Larry Hunter, John Sherry Stolle of Zionsville, and Petra Byers of Syracuse, IN. He also has one brother, Bill Ann Stolle of Florida, and one sister-in-law, Mary Stolle of Ohio. He has 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Hunter-Estes fiancé Tony Lucas, Kim Hall Ayo, Melissa Hunter Randy Wells Chris Stolle, Joe Amber Stolle, Alisha Borcherding, Amber Borcherding, Christina Schafstall, Rick Byers, Bridgette Byers and Barron Byers. He also has 9 Great-Grandchildren who will miss him very much: Tiffani Rogers, Hope Pressley, Hunter Estes, Aaron Hall, Ashlee and Alyssa Jones, Eric and Sklynn Swick and Cheyann Heiman. He also has several nieces and nephews in the Richmond area.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Jeanette Stolle, brothers: Donald, Floyd and Myron Stolle. Sisters: Emerald and Ruby and grandson: Robert Ray Stolle.
