Robert Joseph (Shark) Davis, 81, of Arthurdale, WV died Thursday November 10, 2011 surrounded by his family at the Hospice Care Corporation Regional In-Patient Center in Elkins, WV. He was born December 27, 1929 to the late Neva Laverne (DeVault) and James Walter Davis in Smithtown (Marion County). He was a 1947 graduate of Arthurdale High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force in Europe, was a retired lab technician from the Morgantown Utility Board and he loved the game of golf. He was a member of the Preston Country Club. He is survived by two sons and spouses Robert E. and Malene Smith Davis, Scott J. and Tonda Collins Davis and three granddaughters Sydney, Samantha, and Sierra Davis all of Arthurdale, a brother and spouse James W. and Polly Davis of Reedsville, a sister Nancy Davis Lynch of Hobe Sound, FL, a brother-in-law Samuel Evasko of Bretz, WV, a sister in-law and brother in-law Rosalie and Charles Kinney of Painesville, OH and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years Agnes M. (Evasko) Davis, his parents, a brother Jack Davis, a sister and brother in-law Betty Davis and Joe Kretoski, a brother-in-law J. Burnell Lynch and his dog Cody.
