Robert John Modale of Plymouth, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on May 5, 2022 at the age of eighty. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Mae (White) Modale; loving father of Andrew Modale and his wife Amanda of New Jersey; step father of Michael Gilmore of France and James Gilmore of Plymouth; grandfather of Brayden Modale, Emma and Nick Gilmore, Chloe Gilmore and Justin Gilmore. He was the brother of the late Ronald Modale and Linda Schubert. He leaves his brother-in-law, David Schubert of New Jersey and his former daughter-in-law’s, Sophie and Kristine Gilmore.Robert was born to the late Natale and Patricia (Forgarty) Modale in Brooklyn, NY on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1941, a fact he loved to share with his friends. He honorably served our country in the United States Navy from 1959-1963. He worked as a Stationary Engineer for Proctor and Gamble for twenty-six years. Robert was an automobile and truck enthusiast and especially loved his 1954 Ford F100. He was a World War II buff. He had an amazing wit and was happy to share his humor and jokes with others.
