Robert John Dingman, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Thursday, April 30, 2009.  He was born October 15, 1941 in Glens Falls, New York to Irene and Eldoras Dingman.  He grew up in Glens Falls with his sister, Cheryl.  At the age of 14, he became one of the youngest Eagle Scouts of that time.  Bob graduated from St. Lawrence University with an English major in 1963.  He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and organizer of social functions.

After graduation, he enlisted in the Army, which took him to Pittsburgh, PA.  In 1965, he met Martha Trainer, who he later married and had two children, Kimberly and Jeffrey.

Bob retired in 1999.  During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to Cassis, France and Kona, Hawaii.  After a few trips to Hawaii, Kona stole his heart and he bought a condo of his own.  He called it his paradise and he lived there four months of every year.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Kimberly of Portland, OR; son, Jeffrey; daughter-in-law, Achini; granddaughters, Leah and Gabriela of Boise, ID; and nephew, Alexander Bryson of Boston, MA.  He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice; his grandfather, John; his mother, Irene; father, Eldoras; and sister, Cheryl.

A special thanks to Brad Lau and TLC for all of your dedicated work.

We will miss you Dad!!!
